The establishment and history
May 1999 the AHN biotechnology GmbH is created in Nordhausen and registered as GmbH into the register of Companies of the district court Mühlhausen. The company headquarters at that time was the Business and innovation center north Thuringia, 99735 Bielen. Here first with 2 coworkers the first products one conceived and one developed. In the second step the new tools necessary for production were conceived and realized with a cooperation partner from Switzerland.
November 1999, after only 6 months development time is taken the first pipette point tool, with an external Kooperanten, into the test run.
April 2000 further 3 tools to rehearse-rubbed transferred and delivered the first products, pipette points under the registered trade mark TOP Line®, at customers. At the same time with the structure of its own production and a suitable location at the Uthleber way 14, 99734 north living is begun is found. Private industrial area Wilhelm again GmbH.
July 2000 is referred the new combined office, camp and production hall at the Uthleber way 14. In the course of the yearly 2000 further production tools are finished.
February 2001 starts own production on most modern Mannesmann DEMAG spraying casting automat. Products of own manufacturing are only sold.
August 2002 is taken second production and warehouse in enterprise and the production capacity is almost doubled and automated.
October 2002 is begun with the structure of its own manufacturing to the manual Assembling by filter points for molecular biology.
February 2003 is begun with the development of the first putting robot for pipette points and a Semiautomatik for bringing in filters.
June 2003 is taken the first putting robot for pipette points in the manufacturing in enterprise. 3 further putting robots are taken to November 2003 in enterprise and the Semiautomatik for bringing in the molecular filters is finally taken in enterprise.
November 2003 the new ANCESTOR Aufreinigungskit for Plasmid DNA is presented to the market under the registered trade mark ULTRAPrep Plasmid® on the Medica 2003 in Duesseldorf.
January 2004 the development of a new series of ultramodern Kolbenhubpipetten is successfully locked. The first prototypes are examined by the national calibration management Thuringia and the CE-indication of in-Vitro-Diagnostika after Community directive is given.
March 2004 the sale the new ANCESTOR Kolbenhubpipetten under the registered trade mark pipet4u® starts.
June 2004 the first development order for the QIAGEN GmbH, Hilden, for the development and following production of a new filter body for QIAGEN of products is locked and the development contracts is signed. A second development and production contract for a new QIAGEN filter point for laboratory automats signature-ripely one negotiates. The signature will take place in July 2004.
July 2004 is begun with the development of a new smokeless cigarette to the Nikotininhaltion. It is specified that in particular the Nikotininhaltion and absorption are to take place substantially on molecular-biological level.
September 2004 a further development order of the QIAGEN GmbH for the development and production of a new filter pipette point for a new QIAGEN laboratory robot is given and signed.
For October 2004 again more developed and again more built plug robots of the company Rexrodt Bosch in enterprise one takes. With this new Scara robot is automated that plugs by filters in pipette points and rationalized substantially.
October 2004 the US patent for the exclusive production of “multi-wave filtration Plates and Method for Making” by the United States patent and trademark Office finally one gives. All objections on the part of US of the competition are rejected.
November 2005 the development of new RNA kits is begun.
November 2005 on the Medica 2005 is presented a again developed filter technology MPS filter (Micro pore Size filter), with which for the first time in molecular biology filters with a Effektvität can be inserted of 4-6 µm. So far there were filter pipette points only with a max. effectiveness starting from 12 µm. The new filters are built in series into ancestor filter points.
December 2005 a further putting robot for 200 ul filter points is taken in enterprise.
March 2006 the development of nucleic acid on cleaning kits (MiniPrep kit) for genomische DNA from blood, from cell cultures and Gegwebekulturen is locked. The first kits are produced in Brazil.
March 2006 the development of the UltraPrep kits for Agrarose gel and to the PCR Aufreinigung, on basis of the MiniPrep kits is locked. The buffers and first kit are produced.
June 2006 the principle of the smokeless cigarette is invented. Succeeds depositing for the first time nicotine to Nanobeads.
January 2007 the development of new RNA kits on basis of the MiniPrep technology is final.
February 2007 the development of the filter depots and the mouthpiece filter for a smokeless cigarette is terminated.
March 2007 the entire development, production, and functionality of the smokeless cigarette is announced to the patent and announced at the same time and registered as utility model.
April 2007 the first production machine to the production of the smokeless cigarette is finished in a separate division and takes up the production enterprise.
May 2007 it is begun with the development of a new electronic pipette.
December 2007 the development of the electronic pipette is locked.
January 2008 the new operational principle of the new electronic pipette is announced to the patent. The first prototypes are tested.
April 2008 it is developed and tested a new case system for the smokeless cigarette on basis of a full cigarette. The customer can take a complete, complete cigarette from a packing.
August 2008 ANCESTOR the patent for a smokeless cigarette is extended by the full cigarette. The dimensionings, materials and use of the new case are patent protected.
